Eurooe books especially are boring but Hanks’s this book is different others. In this model, the break between the Middle Ages and the modern era was marked by the first voyage of Columbus and the beginning of the Protestant Reformationthough some scholars, especially those who focused on Italy, set the break somewhat earlier with the Italian Renaissance.

There is no appendix listing the political powers of the critical political jurisdictions throughout the period. The writer is clearly interested in womens history and she regularly puts in passages about womens stories, which is ok, but sometimes feels a bit unnecessary.

Be the first to ask a wiedner about Early Modern Europe, The format of the book, however, means that such a broad scope leaves a lot out in particular as far as the arts and religions are concerned.
