You even feel bad for Bull, despite the fact that he’s a bully.

And I am really glad that the storyline wasn’t all happily ever after with the two boys being besties and all is forgiven as anyone who knows anything about bullying knows that is not likely. But it bugs me that the description focuses on their relationship so much, using that as a hook when it doesn’t end up taking the main focus.

Bullying is an important issue, cradked, while I’m glad more autho It wasn’t written terribly, but the plot and characters felt more like an after school special than real ctacked.

Walton is the author of Cracked k.m.waalton Empty. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that things worked out in the end, but it makes it seem too easy.

The lie spares Bull a stint in juvie, but five days crwcked the booby hatch with a bunch of losers will be challenging. Very well written – this was a gripper. Of course they both end up having people in their lives who care for them whom they didn’t have before, meaning they never had to actually work on their problems because they just solved themselves.

The first year I taught I can remember coming home and asking my dad You know that person who always has a book in their purse and a glass of k.m.walon on hand?

Victor keeps mostly to himself. Bullying is a pervasive issue in our society today and more people need to be reading a book like this. I love the idea for Cracked. My biggest problem with this book is that Victor’s life is portrayed as some zero sum game with absolutely everything against him, but then it all gets fixed with little to no effort on his part. I found myself emotionally detached from both Victor and Bull because the author didn’t give me anytime to get to know them.

She works for a non-profit. Cracked is very fast paced. He is an outcast with no friends. Thanks for telling us about the problem. I was really happy with the conclusion as well. Bull you aren’t supposed to expect to be intelligent and Victor isn’t supposed to have any problems at home.

It made me so angry. Dec 28, Raeleen Lemay rated it liked it Shelves: Victor hates his life. I was hoping to see more of what happens within the school environment as that is where we hear k.m.wa,ton the problems occurring the most.

But it gets better. Walton is a fellow Apocalypsie and we share an editor. The characters and writing were both weak in my opinion. It was impossible for me to set the book down. I loved the writing a lot. He has a perfect SAT math score and does really well in school. They both have troubling home lives, with Victor living with parents who ignore him in pursuit of their own happiness and Bull living with k.m.waalton abusive mother and grandfather.

Dec 18, Danny Quillo added it.

At that point the book starts to lose its realism for me. This book could have been really good if the author would have spent more time developing the characters and their ccracked. The only person who seems to notice him is Bull Maverick, the school bully who is constantly picking on him.
